ForeseeHome™ AMD Monitoring Program Featured on Memphis, TN Radio
ST. LOUIS, MO (November 5, 2010) – Garrett O’Connell, Notal Vision’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales will be featured on Memphis, TN radio’s local Eye on Vision radio program later this month. O’Connell will chat on air with host Vance Durbin about the benefits of the home monitoring system and the importance of early AMD detection.
“Age-related macular degeneration is a devastating disease that can cause severe vision loss and blindness. If detected early, doctors can potentially halt disease progression. Unfortunately many patients do not realize they have developed wet macular degeneration until they experience vision loss. The new ForeseeHome is the first home monitoring system for patients with macular degeneration which has demonstrated an ability to detect vision changes related to macular degeneration before the patient notices any visual symptoms. This telemedicine system has the potential to greatly reduce the number of patients who suffer vision loss from macular degeneration.” says O’Connell.
O’Connell’s Eye on Vision interview will air on November 20, 2010 at 7pm and midnight on FM 89.3 WYPL.

About the ForeseeHome AMD Monitoring Program
The ForeseeHome AMD Monitor is a non-invasive, user friendly device designed specifically for use by patients with AMD. Patients use their personal monitor daily in the comfort of their home, and results are transmitted automatically to the Notal Vision Data Monitoring Center through the phone line. If a statistically significant change in vision is detected, Notal Vision will promptly alert the doctor and the patient so they can schedule a comprehensive eye exam. Additionally, the doctor can view the patient’s data at any time through a secure website.
